It's the new thing that's replacing forums. Having used on other wikis, I can tell you the format is very different than the forums and it does tend to attract a lot of spammers, but you will get to see it soon enough because Wikia is removing forums and replacing them with that this year.

Sure! I can't promise you'll like it though. Wikia has a history of IMO bad decisions. Idk if you were around yet, but a few months after I joined back in 2013, they did this "update" that took away the ability to see wallpapers on mobile.
I THINK he/she wants you to go head and ask for Wikia to enable it now is my guess.

Right, so it's not just something that they are rolling out to everyone? Plus I don't think it is the type of decision I can make on my own. That being said no other admin has been active as of late.
Even if it will be enabled, it should be in a way that forums will still be allowed.
Forums allow already uploaded images to be posted, just like this one.
I hope so too. For now, I won't do anything on my part to change how things are at the moment.
