Early Life

Later, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Lovato revealed that she was bullied so severely, that she requested home education. Her request was granted, and she graduated from high school on April 2009. She has cut herself, had an eating disorder, and suffered from depression until she went to rehab in November 2010. Eventually, she became a spokesperson of an anti-bullying organization, PACER and spoke about anti-bullying in America's Next Top Model.

From 2007 through 2008, Lovato played the role of Charlotte Adams in Disney Channel's short series, As the Bell Rings. She auditioned for two parts for the same channel on the same day in 2007, Camp Rock and Sonny With A Chance, and got lead roles on both parts. That summer, she appeared on Jonas Brothers' Burnin' It Up tour and went on another tour for her debut album, Don't Forget.
