The library was first shown in the song sequence, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" while nine year-old Anna sang the lines, "Just watching the hours tick by! Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock," as she lay on her back before the grandfather clock in the room.

The knowledge contained in the library proved useful during Agdar's reign; following an incident in which Anna was injured by Elsa's magic, Agdar searched through the library shelves and found a book containing a map that provided directions to the Valley of the Living Rock, where he hoped Anna could be healed. Though Anna was restored to health, the accident led to her being separated from Elsa. During the thirteen year period of separation, Anna went to the library to help pass time.

Later, during "For the First Time in Forever," Elsa practiced holding the orb and scepter, using a candlestick and a jewelry box as substiutes. After holding the items for a few seconds, she began to coat the items with a layer of frost and hastily replaced the objects back on the table. While she practiced, she stood facing the portrait of her father holding the holy items during his coronation.

On the day of Elsa's coronation, the library provided the queen-to-be with some comfort; while she practiced concealing her powers for the ceremony, Elsa looked to a portrait of her father during his coronation in an attempt to ease her anxiety.

The library was last seen when Hans and the dignitaries gathered inside the room, expressing concern over Anna's absence. Kai and Gerda soon came into the room, carrying Anna, her body nearly frozen from the blast of ice her sister had put in her heart. The castle servants left Anna alone with Hans inside, thinking that Hans would be able to help the princess. However, once they left, Hans revealed his true intentions to her, extinguishing the fire in the fireplace and locking her inside the room, leaving her to slowly freeze to death.

However, the library was not always a place of solace; during Elsa's winter, Hans trapped Anna inside the room to freeze to death. Though Olaf managed to find Anna and kept her warm by setting a fire, the room was slowly overtaken by ice forming from Elsa's magic, which threatened to trap the pair within.

Not long after, Olaf unlocked the room with his carrot nose and found Anna shivering from the cold. He lit a fire for her and while they sat next to the fireplace, he taught her the true meaning of love. When Olaf noticed Kristoff and Sven returning to Arendelle, Anna realized she had to reach Kristoff as he was her true love. The two quickly left the room as Elsa's blizzard was growing stronger and ice was starting to spread throughout the library, threatening to trap the two within.

The library is a room located in Arendelle castle that contains a collection of books.

History

The knowledge contained in the library proved useful during Agdar's reign; following an incident in which Anna was injured by Elsa's magic, Agdar searched through the library shelves and found a book containing a map that provided directions to the Valley of the Living Rock, where he hoped Anna could be healed. Though Anna was restored to health, the accident led to her being separated from Elsa. During the thirteen year period of separation, Anna went to the library to help pass time.

On the day of Elsa's coronation, the library provided the queen-to-be with some comfort; while she practiced concealing her powers for the ceremony, Elsa looked to a portrait of her father during his coronation in an attempt to ease her anxiety.
