Hi, Ninja. We probably haven't chatted for more than a month, and we really miss you! XD Anyways, we're having a chat meeting this weekend 10:00 AM HKT (Hong Kong Time). Whenever you've available this weekend, we could chat in private, or as a group. Whichever, just message me by tomorrow if you're available.
If you can't make it 10:00 AM, that's ok. You're probably REALLY busy now with your new promotion, and I still wish you lots of luck. :P Hope you can make it to the chat meeting, so probably see you there, we got really important stuff to talk about.
Congrats on being "promoted" Wikia Star, but honestly, I don't think that you were promoted. You were a Wikia Star from the very start, and thank you for all the support and help you've given us from the recreation of this Wiki into a better one, then into a merge! Thank you so much, NFG!
(PS, do you mind if you stick around this Wiki if any of us needs help? But a huuuuuge congrats anyways! :D)
Hey again! I heard that you're no longer admin, and I was kinda sad to hear that, because you did a lot for the wiki during the merge. But, I came to your message wall and saw the little title, "Wikia Star" next to your username. :D CONGRATS ON THAT! :D You truly deserve it! :D I hope you'll keep making progress on the wikia, if that makes sense. :P But yeah, congrats! :D
Anyways, I was looking over recent edits and I noticed someone put image tabs on the Elsa and Anna pages and it's an interesting concept I guess. Anyways, the tabs seem to work fine, there's just the presence of double brackets on the top and bottom saying "Image:" and "258px" respectively. You can get a better idea of what I mean if you visit the pages.
Now I was considering reverting the edits but I didn't want to do so unless this was some sort of coding problem that can't be remedied. I'm guessing it's some sort of template issue with the infobox not being set-up to take the tabs but again, I know little about these technical details so I figured maybe you should take a look. Worst comes to worst though, we can just revert the edits.
I just didn't want to make a move without considering everything first since this is outside my realm of expertise :P
Yeah, it was an internal problem with the template. I tweaked it, so let me know if it works on your side. Some images that may seem big might have to have a manual size fix, as the automatic size was removed due to this. Thanks for letting me know.
Hey Ninja, I was checking character pages today and I noticed all of the character images in their infoboxes seem to have disappeared, save for Elsa and Anna's. Is it possible the tweak to the Infobox template yesterday affected all the others negatively?
I would have to revert to the original template, as I have just done. To keep the necessities to keep the image up, along with the tabber, would need much more coding. For now, the tabber for the images aren't needed anyways so I suggest removing them. There's no point in needing different tabber images for different outfits/ages. Thanks.
I was thinking we should have specific jobs for a certain admin. For example, Danielle always goes on chat, so we could make her a part-time chat mod as well as an admistrator. Every one of us admins should have a specific job. (But none of us are going to be the boss out of us, since that wouldn't be very fair.)
Huh, me being a chat mod when chat hates me on the iPad, the device I'm usually on? Not a good combo. XDEE Besides, all admins are automatically chat mods. :P Maybe we don't need specific roles, but maybe we could have one part of the wiki that we watch out for. All the admins can always watch over the whole wiki, but each of us can have an area of the wiki that we watch out for. Like, Ninja can oversee all the technical aspects of the wiki, since he's better at that than any of us. :P We could divide the wiki content up, and a user could watch out a part of the wiki, like the character pages, cast/crew, galleries, etc. One or two users can watch out for vandalism (including you, Dragonboy, since you're a rollback) so that five people don't have to check edits that have been already checked, ya know? And someone can also watch out for anything unusual or any loose threads. :P And we don't have to have just one role. And so that it won't get boring, we can rotate this every month or so.
So, what I'm trying so say is that all of us can watch out over the wiki, but we can have one area where we really check it out and try to improve it while we're there. What do you guys think? :) Oh, and Mojo's right. No one is going to boss anyone else just because he or she has some title or something. That's just unfair. :P
So, like you said, you have lots of experience in coding. By any chance you know how to change the menu look like on the Disney Wiki? If you can, that'd be nice. If you can't, then whatever. Reply back if you can.
