Peter Del Vecho (born April 6, 1958) is an American film producer at Walt Disney Animation Studios. With Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, they won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for the 2013 animated film, Frozen.
Early life
Del Vecho grew up in the city of Quincy, in the South Shore area just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. He studied theater production in the Boston University College of Fine Arts and graduated in 1980. His theater work spanned of 15 years.
Career
Del Vecho started working at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis in 1995, for about 10 years. He was then enlisted by Disney to help with their projects. After experience from production management, he moved to producing.
Aside from Frozen, he also produced the 2011 films The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh.
An announcement in September 2014 follows that Del Vecho would be working alongside Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee to create a five-minute short succeeding Frozen called Frozen Fever. Another announcement in March 2015 noted that the three of them would be working on a full-length sequel to Frozen, entitled Frozen II.
