When he sees that his friend is fine, Kristoff continues on to find Anna. Hans finally catches up with Elsa, where he lies by saying that Anna had died because of her; he then draws his [[Hans' sword|sword]] to kill the grieving Elsa. The storm ceases due to Elsa's grief, allowing Kristoff and Anna to see each other. However, Anna also sees Elsa, and what Hans is about to do. Anna sacrifices any hope she has of saving herself to save her sister, running between her and the sword. She then freezes solid, her out-reaching hand shattering the sword; the produced shock wave knocks out Hans, and the grieving Elsa is safe.
