⚫ | "Whiteout" is a musical number written and composed by Canadian score composer, Christophe Beck, for the 2013 Disney animated film, Frozen. It is played when Anna, Kristoff, Elsa, and Hans are trapped in the blizzard, where Kristoff is trying to reach Anna and keep her from succumbing to the frozen heart curse. The number continues when Anna is about to freeze into solid ice. It ends when Anna blocks Hans from killing a grieving Elsa. Simultaneously, Hans tries to kill Elsa following his pronouncement that Anna has died. At this, Elsa manages to stop the blizzard in her extreme grief; Anna notices Hans about to deliver the killing blow when she sacrifices herself to save Elsa, abandoning her attempts to reach Kristoff and save herself. A certain part of the song sounds similar to a portion of the track, "The Trolls." |
