"Whiteout" is a musical number written and composed by Canadian score composer, Christophe Beck, for the 2013 Disney animated film, Frozen.

The track plays when Anna, Kristoff Bjorgman, Elsa, and Hans Westergaard are all on the fjord in Elsa's blizzard, where Kristoff and Anna are trying to reach each other, to stop Anna from succumbing to the frozen heart curse. As the ships turn and twist in the ice, Kristoff races to get to Anna; Sven is forced to eject Kristoff from his back to stop him from falling into the icy water where the ice had ruptured. When he sees that his friend is fine, Kristoff continues on to find Anna. Hans finally catches up with Elsa, where he lies by saying that Anna had died because of her; the storm ceases due to Elsa's grief, allowing Kristoff and Anna to see each other. However, Anna also sees Elsa, and she notices that Hans has drawn his sword to kill the grieving Elsa. Anna sacrifices any hope that she has of saving herself to save her sister, running between her and the sword. She then freezes solid, her out-reaching hand shattering the sword; the produced shock wave knocks out Hans, and Elsa is safe.

Similarities with other tracks[]

A certain part of the song sounds similar to a portion of the track, "The Trolls".
