Yelena is a member of the Northuldra, known as the oldest in the tribe and its current leader.
History
She has been leading the Northuldra for 34 years, since the Enchanted Forest was cursed after the war between Arendelle and Northuldra. During that time the Northuldra and the Arendellian soldiers were enemies and accused each other of starting the war.
After meeting Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf she was suspicious, like toward other Arendellians, especially after noticing Elsa's magic. She started trusting them after they all realized that Iduna, the mother of Elsa and Anna, was Northuldra.
Later she was mistaken by Kristoff for Anna, and he accidentally proposed to her. Yelena rejected him and told him that Anna has already left and leaves with other Northuldra.
After the curse was lifted she and Mattias became allies and Elsa told her and Honeymaren that Ahtohallan was beautiful. They also made Elsa stay.

She is very protective, caring, strict and trusts the nature.
